Cancellation, Subscription & Refund Policy
Understand the terms, conditions, procedures, and commercial principles applicable to purchases, subscriptions, paid access plans, cancellations, and refunds across QMatrix.
Q MATRIX (“Q MATRIX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides online skill development, coding practice, aptitude preparation, assessments, and career-readiness solutions through qmatrix.co.in and associated platforms (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Cancellation, Subscription & Refund Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms, conditions, procedures, and commercial principles applicable to purchases, subscriptions, paid access plans, cancellations, payment inquiries, and refund requests across the Platform.
By purchasing, subscribing to, or accessing any paid service or plan on Q MATRIX, you acknowledge and agree to this Policy, which should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to establish clear, transparent, and fair standards regarding subscriptions, paid services, cancellations, billing inquiries, and refund eligibility on the Q MATRIX platform. This Policy is designed to provide unambiguous commercial terms and outline efficient, secure resolution pathways for legitimate payment issues.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all individual users, learners, and subscribers who purchase or access paid offerings, feature upgrades, individual subscription plans, or paid digital services on or through Q MATRIX.
Access provided through university, college, educational institution, training partner, or corporate arrangements is governed by the specific institutional agreement entered into between Q MATRIX (or Anti-Matrix) and the respective organization. Institutional students or faculty whose accounts are provisioned under institutional licensing are not billed directly by Q MATRIX and are not subject to direct individual subscription fees.
3. Subscriptions and Paid Services
Q MATRIX offers specialized digital educational tools, including coding challenges, compiler execution sandboxes, aptitude test series, AI-assisted resume ATS scoring, interview preparation modules, and performance analytics.
Q MATRIX currently provides certain paid services on a fixed-term prepaid basis. The applicable service or access remains available for the validity period specified at the time of purchase following successful activation and ordinarily expires at the end of that period.
Where Q MATRIX introduces an automatically renewing subscription in the future, the applicable renewal, cancellation, and billing terms will be presented to the user before or at the time of purchase.
4. Payment and Service Activation
All payments on Q MATRIX must be made in Indian Rupees (INR) or other approved currencies using supported payment mechanisms, including Unified Payments Interface (UPI), debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or approved payment gateways.
Upon successful authorization, verification, and settlement of payment, digital access to the purchased subscription or service is activated and provisioned immediately for the user’s account.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their payment information is accurate, valid, and authorized, and that sufficient funds or credit lines are available to complete the transaction.
5. Cancellation of Subscriptions
It is important to understand the distinction between cancellation and refund:
- Cancellation refers to ending an ongoing subscription arrangement or turning off automatic renewal to prevent future billing cycles from taking place.
- Refund refers to returning money that has already been paid for a past, current, or completed billing period.
Because Q MATRIX currently operates on a fixed-term prepaid basis without automatic recurring debits, access remains active for the full validity period specified at the time of purchase and ordinarily concludes at the end of that term without automatic renewal charges.
Where Q MATRIX introduces an automatically renewing subscription in the future, cancellation will generally prevent the subscription from renewing for a subsequent billing period. Cancellation of a subscription does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund for the current or completed billing period, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law.
6. Refund Policy
Payments made for Q MATRIX subscriptions, plans, digital services, or other paid offerings are generally non-refundable once the payment has been successfully completed and the applicable service, access, or subscription benefits have been provisioned.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or override any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, consumer, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable except as expressly provided in this Policy.
7. Non-Refundable Payments
Once a payment has been successfully completed and the applicable service or access has been provisioned, the payment is generally non-refundable. This reflects the nature of Q MATRIX’s digital services and offerings, where platform availability, technology, system security, hosting, infrastructure, support, and related operational resources are committed in connection with each provisioned account and purchased access.
Accordingly, once a paid service or digital access pass has been activated and made available on the user’s profile, the corresponding payment is ordinarily not eligible for cancellation, withdrawal, or discretionary refund.
8. Exceptions and Payment Issues
Notwithstanding the general non-refundable policy, Q MATRIX will review and may authorize a refund or payment adjustment in the following verified circumstances:
- Duplicate Payment: Where a user is charged more than once for the same subscription or order due to an accidental duplicate submission or technical gateway duplicate.
- Verified Technical Non-Delivery: Where a payment has been successfully debited and settled, but the corresponding platform access was not activated or provisioned due to a verified technical failure on Q MATRIX’s systems, and our technical support team is unable to resolve the provisioning issue within a reasonable period following written notice.
- Payment Gateway Processing Error: Where a verified error occurred at the payment gateway level resulting in an overcharge or incorrect debit.
- Unauthorized Transaction: Where a transaction is formally verified to have been fraudulent or unauthorized, subject to prompt reporting, investigation, and verification by the relevant financial institution and payment gateway.
- Express Checkout Guarantee: Where a specific refund or money-back guarantee was explicitly promised in writing on the official checkout page or formal promotion for that specific offering.
- Statutory Requirement: Where a refund is mandated by applicable consumer protection laws or regulations that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded.
Minor cosmetic bugs, temporary scheduled platform maintenance, personal scheduling conflicts, changes in career or academic plans, or failure to actively use the platform during an active subscription period do not constitute valid grounds for a refund.
9. Failed or Reversed Transactions
A clear distinction exists between successfully completed payments, failed payment attempts, debited but unconfirmed transactions, and approved refunds:
- Successfully Completed Payment: A transaction that has successfully authorized, settled, and confirmed, resulting in the digital provisioning of the purchased access.
- Failed Payment Attempt: Where a payment attempt fails or is not successfully completed, no service access is provisioned by Q MATRIX. Any applicable reversal or release of funds will be handled through the relevant payment provider and financial institution according to their applicable processing procedures.
- Debited but Unconfirmed Payment: If funds are deducted from your bank account or payment method but the platform checkout fails, times out, or indicates a pending status, Q MATRIX will investigate the transaction status with the payment provider. Where the transaction did not settle to Q MATRIX, any reversal or release of funds is handled through the relevant payment provider and financial institution. Where funds did settle to Q MATRIX without access activation, Q MATRIX will either activate your access or facilitate an appropriate resolution.
- Reversed Transaction: Where a payment processor or banking partner initiates a reversal or chargeback, access associated with the disputed transaction may be temporarily suspended pending resolution of the payment dispute.
- Approved Refund: A reimbursement authorized by Q MATRIX under an eligible exception or as required by applicable law, initiated back to the original payment source as set forth in this Policy.
10. Duplicate Payments
If you believe you have been charged multiple times for the same subscription or plan, please contact us promptly with the relevant transaction references.
Upon verifying that multiple debits occurred for the same account and that duplicate access was not intentionally purchased or utilized across distinct accounts, Q MATRIX will promptly initiate a full refund for the duplicate transaction(s) to the original payment source.
11. Third-Party Payment Providers
Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers, including Cashfree and PhonePe, depending on the payment method and transaction flow. While Q MATRIX facilitates secure checkout integration, all financial transactions are subject to the processing guidelines, security standards, and settlement cycles of the respective payment providers and the user’s issuing bank.
Where payments are processed through a third-party payment provider, applicable processing, reversal, and settlement timelines may depend on that provider and the user’s financial institution. Q MATRIX does not store full credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVVs, or bank account credentials on its servers.
12. Institutional or Organization Purchases
Payments, subscriptions, enterprise licenses, or platform access obtained by or on behalf of an educational institution, university, college, corporate entity, or training partner are governed by the applicable institutional commercial agreement, memorandum of understanding (MoU), purchase order, or formal contract executed between Q MATRIX (or Anti-Matrix) and the purchasing organization.
Individual students, faculty members, or administrators accessing Q MATRIX through an institutional license are not billed individually by Q MATRIX and are not eligible for individual refunds from Q MATRIX. Any billing, renewal, or licensing questions regarding institutional access must be directed to the respective institution’s administrative authorities.
13. Promotional or Discounted Purchases
Where a subscription is purchased using a promotional discount, campus coupon code, introductory pricing, or bundled offer, any approved refund (under an eligible exception) will be calculated strictly based on the net amount actually paid by the user after applying all discounts, and not on the standard, undiscounted price.
Promotional coupon codes, referral credits, discount vouchers, and bonus validity days have no standalone cash value and are not redeemable for cash, credit, or transfer.
14. Suspension, Termination and Refund Eligibility
Q MATRIX maintains strict standards of academic honesty, platform security, and respectful community conduct. If a user’s account or access is suspended, restricted, or terminated by Q MATRIX due to:
- Academic misconduct, test cheating, automated answer scraping, test-bank leaks, or assessment tampering;
- Credential sharing, account reselling, unauthorized multi-user usage, or unauthorized commercial exploitation;
- Security probing, denial of service attempts, compiler abuse, or malicious server interaction; or
- Material breach of the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, or applicable laws;
such suspension or termination does not create an entitlement to a refund, reimbursement, or pro-rated compensation for any remaining period of access, subject to any non-waivable rights guaranteed under applicable law.
15. Changes to Plans, Pricing or Services
Q MATRIX reserves the right to introduce new subscription tiers, discontinue legacy plans, modify features, or revise pricing at its sole discretion.
Any price change or modification to plan structure will apply only to prospective purchases, subsequent renewals, or new enrollments, and will not retroactively alter the pricing or validity of an active prepaid subscription period already purchased.
16. Refund/Payment Request Process
To report a payment issue, duplicate debit, or submit a refund request under an eligible exception, users must submit a written request to our dedicated support email:

17. Processing Timelines
Upon receipt of a payment inquiry or refund request, Q MATRIX will review the submission and initiate transaction verification with the relevant payment gateway within two (2) to three (3) business days.
Where a refund is verified and approved by Q MATRIX, the refund will be initiated directly through the original payment method used during checkout.
Once a refund has been approved and initiated, the time required for the amount to appear in the original payment account may depend on the relevant payment provider, bank, card network, or financial institution.
